P.J. Martikainen, born in 1950 (right in the picture) is the mastermind behind the SALZ AUDIO floorstanding loudspeakers and special products in the Signalmaganement. He developed loudspeakers in Berlin already in the early 70s.

Martikainen specialised in a perfect cabinet solution, far away from bass reflex, transmission line or closed systems. His autonomous development path first led him through various cabinet principles to the current new phonon technology in our Balanche loudspeakers. Martikainen also incorporated knowledge from instrument making and other areas of acoustics into his development.

P.J. Martikainen now lives in Austria and leads the development on site.
